“Kenny je preminuo mirno u svom domu, prirodnom smrću pod liječničkom skrbi i okružen svojom obitelji”, stoji u priopćenju o smrti.
Zbog situacije s koronavirusom, održat će se mali, privatni sprovod, dok će se javni oproštaj organizirati za neki datum u budućnosti.

Kenny je dominirao glazbenim ljestvicama u sedamdesetim i osamdesetim godinama prošlog stoljeća, a neki od njegovih najvećih hitova su Lady, Islands in the Stream, Lucille, She Believes In Me… Njegova karijera trajala je više od šest desetljeća.
